Diner Rain

Diner Rain

One Sunday afternoon, I ventured out ready to fill up a roll of Fuji Provia film with anything and everything showing itself in the city.

Cue the rain. Boo. Still left with the film loaded and a full tank of gas, I drove around and found the 3rd Street Diner sign looking all regal.

I loved this place in my college years. It was the stopping point on the way home from hanging out in Shockhoe Bottom and you were guaranteed some great people watching.

This is a double-exposure. The first one using a lens with an extension tube to get a macro view of the rain-drops on the windshield. The second shot taken through the same windshield (after clearing with the wipers). Cross-processed then the negative photographed with the Canon T1i on a light-box and treated in Photoshop and Lightroom.
